Playa del Arenal

Playa del Arenal is an urban beach in Xàbia featuring approximately 480 meters of golden sand with an average width of 80 meters. The beach is equipped with showers, lifeguard stations, and accessibility ramps to accommodate visitors of all kinds.

The beach was originally a quiet coastal area but underwent major modernization starting in the late 20th century to handle growing tourist numbers. This transformation shaped the infrastructure and layout we see today.

The beach serves as a daily gathering place where locals and visitors spend time together with family and friends. The tree-lined promenade creates a space where people of all ages come to enjoy the Mediterranean coast.

The beach is surrounded by an easily accessible promenade system that can be explored on foot and is lined with palm trees for shade. Visitors should arrive early during warmer months or bring sun protection, as direct sunlight can be intense.

The Paseo del Arenal connects the beach directly to the harbor and the Montañar hill area through a continuous tree-lined pathway. This connection allows visitors to walk from the beach to the port district and reach the higher elevations on foot.
