Platja de Canyelles

Platja de Canyelles is a sandy beach in Lloret de Mar that stretches about 450 meters between two forested hills. The shoreline features light golden pebbles and is framed by dense Mediterranean pine forests.

The site transformed from a small fishing cove into a bathing beach when Lloret de Mar expanded tourism in the 1960s. This shift gradually replaced traditional uses with recreational activities.

The beach draws locals and visitors who watch traditional fishing boats and feel the area's deep connection to the sea. Small fishing structures at the edges remind people of the cove's past role in the community.

The beach offers sunbeds, showers, and toilets available from May to October. A lifeguard service and parking area make visits convenient during summer months.

The northern area of the beach hides underwater caves and trenches beneath the surface that shelter various Mediterranean species. These natural features make the cove interesting for snorkeling and diving.
