Santa María de Llorell

Santa María de Llorell is a wide sandy beach along the Costa Brava coastline that extends roughly 460 meters down the shore. The beach averages about 50 meters across and is bordered by rocky coves on both sides.

Two distinctive rock formations called Muladera Gran and Muladera Petita stand at this location as reminders of an old maritime mishap. They mark where a sailing ship carrying oranges once ran aground in earlier times.

The beach draws people from nearby homes and camping sites who come here regularly during the warmer months. It serves as a social meeting point for the local community.

You can reach the beach by walking from the parking area near Cala Llevador camping site. The pathway is straightforward to follow, and wearing sturdy shoes is recommended for the walk there.

A rock formation called Roca Plana naturally splits the beach into two separate sections. This division creates two different spaces that offer varied experiences for visitors.
