Platja de Santa Cristina, Protected beach in Lloret de Mar, Spain
Santa Cristina Beach extends 450 meters along the coast with fine sand and clear waters between two protective hills.
The chapel above the beach, first documented in 1376, was rebuilt in the late 18th century with a marble altar from Italy.
Every July 24, local fishermen gather under a pine tree to share the traditional dish estafet and perform regional dances.
The beach offers rental services for umbrellas and deck chairs, plus showers with footbaths and locker facilities from June to September.
A hidden statue of Santa Cristina rests underwater near the beach, making it an interesting spot for snorkeling enthusiasts.
