Punta Nariga Lighthouse

The Punta Nariga Lighthouse features an angular tower structure built on a sharp rocky outcrop overlooking the Atlantic Ocean at 50 meters above sea level.

Constructed in 1998 as the last lighthouse built in Spain, Punta Nariga Lighthouse represents a milestone in modern maritime infrastructure on the Costa da Morte.

The bronze sculpture Atlante, created by Manolo Coia, adorns the lighthouse with a figure combining human and seagull characteristics in a flight position.

The lighthouse beam reaches 22 nautical miles into the Atlantic Ocean, providing essential navigation guidance between the Sisargas Islands and Cape Santo Hadrian.

The architectural design by César Portela integrates the structure with granite formations, creating a silhouette that mirrors the prow of a stone ship.
