Cala del Soio

Cala del Soio is a small cove in Altea with a stone and pebble beach located next to El Portet marina. From the shoreline, visitors can see across to Peñón de Ifach and Punta Bombarda point.

The cove was developed as a bathing spot in the 20th century and is now part of Altea's coastal landscape. Its location beside the marina shows how the shoreline has evolved from a quiet beach into an active waterfront area.

The cove's name reflects the area's deep connection to the sea and its maritime heritage. Locals and visitors gather here to swim and relax, continuing a tradition that has shaped daily life along this coast.

Parking is available at Jardín de Argentina nearby, and foot showers are accessible during summer months. Water sports equipment rental is available at facilities close to the cove.

At low tide, natural pools form between the rocks where small fish gather in particularly clear water. These shallow areas offer a chance to watch fish up close without needing special equipment.
