Playa de Sabugo

Playa de Sabugo is a protected beach on the Asturian coast featuring dark sand and powerful waves. The shore displays a natural, undeveloped character with no commercial construction along its length.

The area received its protected designation as part of a regional environmental conservation initiative on the Asturian coast. This protection status helps preserve the natural qualities of the shoreline.

This section of the Costa Verde maintains its natural state without commercial development, representing the traditional preservation values of northern Spain.

Access to the beach is gained through a walking path from the N-634 road, though accessibility can vary depending on weather conditions. Daytime visits are advisable since no facilities are available on site.

The beach width changes substantially with tides, while maintaining a considerable sand area even during high water periods.
