Plaza de toros de Segovia, Historic bullring in Segovia, Spain
The Plaza de Toros de Segovia features brick and masonry construction with a circular design that accommodates 7,000 spectators for traditional bullfighting events.
The construction of this bullring began in 1801, with the first bullfight held in 1803, although the structure was not fully completed until 1805.
Before the creation of this dedicated arena, bullfighting events took place in Segovia's main square, marking a transition in the city's entertainment traditions.
The bullring hosts regular events during the San Pedro Fair at the end of June, with tickets available for purchase through local vendors.
This structure stands as the oldest bullring in the Castilla y León region, having survived multiple restoration attempts by different municipal architects since 1814.
