Es Cavallet, White sand beach in Sant Josep de sa Talaia, Spain
Es Cavallet is a long sandy beach on Ibiza's south coast with fine white sand and clear Mediterranean waters. The shoreline extends about 1 kilometer and remains largely undeveloped along its length.
The beach formed naturally over time and became a clothing-optional destination during the 1960s when tourism began expanding rapidly on Ibiza. Since then it has evolved into a recognized space welcoming both traditional and naturist visitors.
The beach is split into two social spaces, with one section for traditional swimmers and another for naturist visitors who prefer clothing-free bathing. Both groups coexist peacefully along the same shoreline.
It helps to arrive early to secure a good spot, especially in summer months when the beach gets crowded. Showers, toilets, and rentals for sunbeds and umbrellas are available, but bringing your own towel and water is advisable.
Behind the shoreline lies a protected dune system with rare plant life that shields the coast and also protects salt marshes inland. This fragile ecosystem often goes unnoticed by visitors but plays a vital role in keeping the area healthy.
