Los Fariones

Los Fariones is a beach in Tías combining dark volcanic rocks with areas of golden sand that stretches for about 60 meters along the shore. The cove is framed by rock formations that create natural steps and sheltered spots in the water.

This was once a small fishing village that transformed during the 1970s when tourism development reshaped Puerto del Carmen. The change brought new roads, buildings, and facilities that turned it into a holiday destination.

Locals gather here for fishing and swimming, reflecting the maritime traditions that shape daily life in this coastal town.

You can reach the beach easily through the coastal path, with restaurants and shops just a short walk away. The rocky areas require careful footing when entering the water, so wear suitable shoes if needed.

The rocks trap water during tides, forming natural pools with clear water that are perfect for watching small fish and sea creatures. These tidal pools reveal the marine life that many visitors overlook when swimming in the main area.
