Ulla River Viaduct, Railway bridge in Catoira, Spain.
The Ulla River Viaduct spans 1620 meters across the river with three main sections measuring 225, 240, and 225 meters respectively.
The construction of this steel truss bridge marked a milestone in Spanish infrastructure when it opened for operation on March 30, 2015.
The viaduct forms a central part of the Atlantic Axis railway system, connecting communities across the Galicia region of northern Spain.
The bridge carries high-speed rail traffic between Vilagarcía and Padrón, reducing travel time for passengers and freight transport in northwestern Spain.
This structure holds the world record for high-speed composite truss bridges, surpassing the previous record held by the Nantenbach Bridge in Germany.
