Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, Gothic-Mudejar church in Aracena, Spain
The church features three naves of equal height covered with ribbed vaults, complemented by two exterior towers measuring 22 meters in height.
Construction of the church took place between the 13th and 15th centuries, positioned within the urban perimeter adjacent to the castle of Aracena.
The interior displays numerous artworks from the 16th to 20th centuries, including paintings from the Prado Museum and the tin-glazed tomb of Prior Pedro Vázquez.
Visitors can access the church without entrance fees, with operating hours from 10:00 to 18:30 during summer and 10:30 to 17:30 in winter.
The church houses a Neoclassical chapel from the 18th century containing the image of the Virgin of Mayor Dolor, recognized as the patron saint of Aracena.
