Casa del Mayor Guerra, San Bartolomé

Casa del Mayor Guerra features a square layout with a central open-air patio and stone archways that define its architectural composition.

Francisco Tomás Guerra Clavijo, who served as the military governor of Lanzarote from 1793 to 1808, commissioned this residence's construction in 1764.

The building incorporates a marble shield displaying the Perdomo family heraldry above its main wooden double doors, reflecting regional aristocratic traditions.

The structure stands at the southern slope of Montaña de La Cruz, positioned along the route connecting San Bartolomé to Montaña Blanca and Tías.

The last inhabitant, Uncle Sebastián, provided shelter to people in need until 1938, after which the building remained vacant for several decades.
