Molino de Antigua

Molino de Antigua is a circular stone windmill with three stories and four sails, containing traditional milling machinery built from wood and metal components. The same building also houses a museum that documents the region's cheese-making and goat-herding heritage.

The windmill was built in the late 18th century, when Fuerteventura served as a major grain supplier to other Canary Islands. It played a key role in the island's economy and food production during that period.

The site houses a museum dedicated to Majorero cheese, showcasing the importance of local goat herding to island life. You can observe how traditional cheese production relies on time-honored techniques passed down through generations.
