Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes, Fine arts museum inside Palace of Charles V, Granada, Spain
The Museum of Fine Arts occupies the first floor of the Palace of Charles V, presenting paintings and sculptures from the 15th to 20th centuries.
Established in 1839 in Santa Cruz la Real convent, the museum relocated to its current location within the Alhambra complex in 1958.
The collection includes significant works by Spanish artists, with a dedicated hall featuring masterpieces by Granada native Alonso Cano and his contemporaries.
Access to the museum is included with the Granada Card, allowing visitors to explore both the art collections and the surrounding Alhambra grounds.
The institution houses numerous religious artworks obtained from decommissioned religious foundations during the 19th century Spanish confiscation.
