Playa de Torre del Loro

Torre del Loro stretches for 3 kilometers along the eastern coast of Huelva, featuring fine golden sand and a width ranging from 700 meters to 1.5 kilometers.

During the 16th century, under King Philip II's reign, a watchtower was constructed near the coastline to protect against North African pirate raids.

This natural beach maintains its raw state without urban developments or boardwalks, preserving the authentic coastal environment of the Huelva province.

The beach offers swimming opportunities and temporary facilities, with access currently being restored following the completion of extensive rehabilitation works.

The remnants of the Spanish ship Rayo, which participated in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, rest beneath the waters near this beach.
