The ten-story structure features copper plate surfaces on its exterior and stands prominently along the eastern bank of the Aura River.

Architects Risto-Veikko Luukkonen and Helmer Stenros designed this administrative center, which opened its doors to government operations in 1967.

The building complex includes sculptures in its surrounding park, such as Terho Sakki's Torch and Carro Celeste by Mariella Bettineschi.

The facility houses multiple government agencies, including the Southwest Finland Regional State Administrative Agency, and maintains public access during business hours.

With approximately 28,000 square meters of space, the building earned the local nickname 'copper pan' due to its distinctive metallic exterior surfaces.
