Teatterisilta

Teatterisilta is a pedestrian bridge that crosses the Aura River in Turku, linking districts III and VII with clear pathways for foot traffic and cyclists. The structure features a lean modern design that sits unobtrusively within the river landscape.

The bridge opened in 1997 and marked a turning point in developing pedestrian infrastructure along the Aura. Since then it has become an important crossing that supports growing use of the riverfront.

Located next to the Turku City Theatre, which presents over 400 performances annually, the bridge provides direct access to theatrical productions.
