Teijo manor

Teijo manor is a stone building from the 18th century that forms the center of an ironworks complex and features traditional Finnish design. The estate includes several structures around the main house, such as workshops and outbuildings, that together show how production operated as an integrated system.

Christian Friedrich Schröder designed the manor in 1770 as the center of a thriving ironworks settlement during Finland's industrial growth period. The complex shaped the economic and social development of the area well into the 19th century.

The manor reflects how factory owners and their workers lived together within an industrial community during its peak years. The buildings and layout show how management controlled both production and daily life in this place.

Visitors can explore the manor and grounds throughout the year, with warmer months offering the best conditions for a visit. The location sits near Teijo National Park, which provides additional walking trails and nature experiences.
