Lövö Bridge, Road bridge in Dragsfjärd, Finland
The Lövö Bridge is a road bridge that connects two islands in the Kimitoön area and spans nearly 470 meters across the water. Its design allows maritime vessels to pass underneath while maintaining a clear passage for vehicle traffic above.
Construction began in 2009 and replaced the previous ferry service that connected the islands. This new link significantly improved transportation in the region by establishing a direct road connection.
The bridge bears three different names across local languages: Lövö Bridge in English, Lövön silta in Finnish, and Lövö bro in Swedish.
The bridge has a high clearance for ship traffic and is accessible via a well-maintained road. It remains open to vehicle traffic throughout the year and provides a quick crossing between the islands.
The total road segment associated with the bridge measures 1,125 meters, incorporating additional infrastructure beyond the main span.
