Sagalund

The museum complex contains more than twenty buildings representing traditional Finnish architecture, including a courthouse, farmhouse, villa, and two historical schools.

Nils Oskar Jansson established Sagalund in 1900 as a cultural institution dedicated to preserving local traditions and architectural heritage of the Kimito region.

The museum buildings display regional craftsmanship through exhibitions featuring traditional workshops, including a blacksmith area and Finnish sauna construction techniques.

Guided tours in English last 90 minutes and operate hourly, with the museum grounds and main building remaining accessible throughout summer months.

Sagalund functions as Finland's first children's cultural center within a museum setting, incorporating play areas and educational workshops focused on heritage preservation.
