Pirunlinna

The archaeological site features a wall-like construction made of rocks with three entries positioned to the south, east, and west sides of the structure.

The fortification, approximately 1000 years old, demonstrates evidence of continuous use through multiple archaeological findings and structural elements from the Iron Age period.

The site's name combines Finnish words 'piru' for devil and 'linna' for castle, reflecting local beliefs that supernatural forces constructed the fortification.

Visitors can reach the site through a marked path from Kulju, with parking facilities available near the base of the hill for convenient access.

A cave-like formation on the northern side, known as pirunpesä, contained a stone-age arrowhead, indicating human shelter usage in prehistoric times.
