Suomussalmi Church, Church building in Suomussalmi village, Finland.
The church consists of a single concrete and brick nave with paired windows, sloping buttresses, and smooth ends throughout its structure.
The current church replaced the previous structure designed by Carl and Jacob Rijfin, which was destroyed during the Battle of Suomussalmi in 1939.
Bruno Tuukkanen created a fresco depicting Jesus' life for the altar, while Jooseppi Manninen contributed wooden carvings of the Apostles.
The church interior spans 511 square meters and provides seating for 850 people, making it suitable for large religious gatherings.
The church features a separate stone-based bell tower containing bells from 1923 and 1934, originally from the Church of Kurkijoki.
