Issarbe is a cross-country ski area with about 31 kilometers of marked trails in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques region. The routes lie between 1450 and 1550 meters elevation and offer both classic and skating techniques, with equipment rentals and instruction available at the Langlaufchalet reception.
The founding of this cross-country resort brought winter sports to the Barétous valley and made it a major hub in the region. This development changed the valley's economic and social structure permanently.
