Château de Lantilly

Château de Lantilly is a feudal residence near Cervon featuring two residential wings arranged in an L-shape with one preserved defensive tower. The entire complex is encircled by water-filled moats that define and protect the site.

The castle was founded in the 14th century on the ruins of a Roman villa called Lentuli Villa. It underwent significant modifications during the 17th and 19th centuries that shaped its current appearance.

The castle displays typical medieval French building design through its preserved facades, roofs, and the surrounding water defense system. The interior spaces and outbuildings like the dovecote show how people once lived and worked in a feudal residence.

Visitors can book accommodations from May through October and explore the grounds during these months. The estate accepts reservations year-round for events such as weddings and family celebrations.

A double-moat system fed by the Anguison river circles the castle, creating an intricate hydraulic network. This water system once included fountains and walkways that demonstrated sophisticated engineering for its time.
