Château de Villemolin, Medieval castle in Anthien, France

The Château de Villemolin features a horseshoe-shaped structure with three towers and extends across multiple buildings within its estate grounds.

Built in the 14th century on the foundation of a Gallo-Roman villa, the castle underwent significant modifications during the 15th, 17th, and 19th centuries.

The neo-Gothic chapel from 1830 contains a 15th-century Pietà painting on wood, received as a gift from the Carthusians of Val-Saint-Georges.

The castle requires advance contact for visits as it remains a private residence, maintained by the same family since the 16th century.

Film directors selected this location for two mystery movies: The Mystery of the Yellow Room and Le Parfum de la dame en noir in 2002.
