The Arboretum de la Vallée-aux-Loups in Châtenay-Malabry spreads across about 13 hectares with over 500 species of trees and shrubs arranged throughout the grounds. Suspended bridges connect different areas around a central pond with an island, creating multiple pathways for visitors to explore.
The garden was founded in the late 1700s by Chevalier de Bignon and later enriched with rare plants by a prominent botanist connected to Napoleon's court. These early plant-gathering efforts created the foundation for the collection that exists today.
