Opening in 1977, the site witnessed substantial growth in visitor numbers, starting from 80,000 in 1972 to reaching one million visitors by 2012.

The leisure complex organizes regular events, festivals, and sports competitions that bring together residents and visitors throughout the year.

Visitors can access the site via public transportation or by car through the A15 motorway, with paid parking available during opening hours.

The park features Europe's largest outdoor artificial surfing wave and an 820-meter cable ski track for water skiing and wakeboarding enthusiasts.
