Château de Mornay, Heritage castle in Saint-Pierre-de-l'Isle, France.
The castle features an L-shaped structure with two square towers, surrounded by a moat and accessed through a pavilion with crenellations.
Construction of the current castle began in the late 16th century, replacing an older fortress marked by the 14th-century Chardon Tower.
The castle's vaulted gallery contains Italian-style paintings depicting scenes from Ovid's Metamorphoses and other mythological narratives in monochrome.
The castle grounds remain open to visitors daily between 2:30 PM and 6:30 PM, with guided tours available during European Heritage Days.
During World War I, the castle served as a hospital for wounded soldiers before transforming into a convalescent home in 1951.
