Château de Montardy, Medieval castle in Grand-Brassac, France.

The castle features a prominent entrance porch leading through outbuildings, with a massive pigeon house located on the southern side of the estate.

Construction of the castle began in the 14th century, and during the French Revolution, its defensive elements including the keep and crenellations were demolished.

The castle's architecture illustrates the evolution from military fortifications to residential buildings, marking changes in French noble society through centuries.

The main entrance to the residence includes a bridge crossing over a moat, where a drawbridge mechanism previously controlled access to the property.

Two perpendicular wings of the castle form a large terrace that connects to a watchtower at its southeastern corner.
