Musée régional de l'air d'Angers-Marcé is an aviation museum located at Angers Loire Airport that houses about 150 aircraft. The collection includes commercial planes, military jets, gliders, and scale models displayed in spacious exhibition halls.
The initiative to create the museum began in 1981 when pilot Christian Ravel started saving historical aircraft from being scrapped. The museum was formally established in 1998 and has grown through donations and acquisitions over the following years.
The museum keeps aviation history alive through its aircraft and documents that tell the story of flight development. Visitors encounter original machines that reflect different periods of how people have worked to master the skies.
