Espace Air Passion

Espace Air Passion is an aviation museum located at Angers Loire Airport with around 150 aircraft on display. The collection spans different eras of flight history, and several machines remain in airworthy condition.

The museum was founded in 1981 by pilot Christian Ravel to preserve French aviation history. The institution grew from a desire to safeguard technical knowledge about historical aircraft for future generations.

The place draws people who care deeply about aircraft and their history together. Visitors can watch dedicated volunteers pass on knowledge while they bring historical machines back to life.

Plan to spend enough time to visit the workshops and watch the volunteers work on the aircraft. Your visit will be most rewarding on days when restoration work is actively taking place.

Many of the aircraft were painstakingly reassembled from wrecks discovered in remote locations around the world. This demonstrates how enthusiasts manage to bring machines once considered lost back into being.
