Pont du Cadre Noir

The Pont du Cadre Noir is a modern concrete bridge spanning 740 meters across the Loire River, connecting both banks of Saumur through Offard Island. It is approximately 16 meters wide and features separate lanes for vehicles and pedestrians.

Construction of this bridge began in 1982 as part of Saumur's western bypass route. The structure underwent expansion in 2010 to handle increasing traffic flow through the region.
