The Théâtre du Point-Virgule is a theatre in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, housed in a converted carpentry workshop on rue Sainte-Croix-de-la-Bretonnerie. The intimate space holds around 115 seats and hosts comedy shows and small theatrical productions.
The venue originally operated as La Veuve Pichard from 1975 before being renamed in 1978 by a group of actors and directors. This rebrand redirected the focus toward comedy performances and helped establish its reputation in that field.
The venue has been a launching pad for emerging French comedians to build their careers and test new material with audiences. Many performers who later achieved fame got their start performing on this stage.
