Église Saint-Rémy de Dieppe

Église Saint-Rémy de Dieppe is a Gothic church with Renaissance and Baroque elements integrated throughout its structure. The interior features a monumental Baroque altarpiece, stained glass windows with religious scenes, and carved stonework on walls and vaulting.

Thomas Bouchard laid the foundation stone in 1522, but construction extended over more than a century before completion in 1643. This long building period allowed the design to blend Gothic traditions with emerging Baroque influences.

The Parisot organ from the 18th century still accompanies worship and musical performances today. Visitors can hear it during services or special concerts held in the church.

Contemporary sculptor Morgan Roulland designed new gargoyles during recent restoration work on the church. These modern additions sit alongside the original medieval stonework, creating an interesting dialogue between past and present.
