Puig de la Collada Verda

The Puig de la Collada Verda summit reaches an elevation of 2,403 meters and features rocky terrain with panoramic views of surrounding mountain ranges.

The summit area contains large stone piles, remnants of land clearing activities performed to create grazing areas for local livestock herding traditions.

The mountain path follows the GRP Tour du Canigou trail system, marked with red and yellow indicators according to French hiking route standards.

Hikers require approximately seven hours and thirty minutes to complete the 16.82-kilometer trail, which includes a 957-meter elevation gain from Prats-de-Mollo-la-Preste.

The trail passes through the Pastoral Cabin of Forquets and Collada de Roques Blanques, where white rocks mark a natural boundary in the landscape.
