Morne de Bellevue

Morne de Bellevue is a summit in the Castries quarter that rises about 124 meters above sea level with steep rocky slopes. Dense vegetation covers the slopes, and from the top you can see across much of the surrounding area.

The area changed hands between British and French colonial powers over several centuries, which shaped how Saint Lucia developed. These shifts influenced the settlement patterns and geography of the island.

Wear sturdy shoes to handle the steep and sometimes slippery paths safely. Bring plenty of water with you, especially if you hike during the hottest hours between 10 AM and 4 PM.

On clear days the summit offers sweeping views across the island, including Marigot Bay and the surrounding coastal zones. This panorama makes it worth the climb for those who enjoy taking photos or watching the landscape unfold.
