Quai Claude-Bernard

Quai Claude-Bernard is a riverside promenade extending approximately 3 km along the left bank of the Rhône River. It connects major city squares and provides continuous access to the waterfront with seating areas throughout its length.

The riverfront received its current name in 1878 through an official decree, replacing earlier designations tied to industrial activities. This renaming reflected the city's shifting focus toward transforming the waterfront into a public space.
