Temple of Augustus

The rectangular temple features a tetrastyle prostyle porch with Corinthian columns, reaching a height of 14 meters and measuring 17.3 meters in length.

Built between 2 BC and AD 14, the temple served multiple functions through centuries, transitioning from a place of worship to a church and later a granary.

The temple houses a collection of Roman stone sculptures and bronze artifacts that demonstrate the artistic achievements of ancient Pula's inhabitants.

The entrance fee is 2 euros for adults and 1 euro for children, with the site offering guided tours that explain the temple's architectural features.

The temple's dedication inscription on the architrave originally contained bronze letters honoring both Rome and Augustus Caesar as divine entities.
