Fort Bourguignon, Coastal fortification in Pula, Croatia.
Fort Bourguignon features a circular design with a diameter of 46.5 meters and includes twenty casemates forming its outer defensive shell.
The Austrian Empire constructed Fort Bourguignon between 1861 and 1866 to protect Pula harbor, which functioned as their primary naval port.
During the 1990s, the fortress transformed from a military installation into a popular venue for electronic music events along the Adriatic coast.
While visitors can explore the exterior grounds of Fort Bourguignon, the interior sections remain closed under management of the Archaeological Museum of Istria.
The fortress contains three embrasures for rifles on its lower floor and one cannon embrasure on the upper floor, connected by an internal hallway system.
