Mogyoród, Administrative division in Pest County, Hungary

Mogyoród extends across 34.47 square kilometers of land in Central Hungary, within the Gödöllő District, bordering Szada and Csömör municipalities.

The Battle of Mogyoród occurred on March 14, 1074, when King Solomon of Hungary faced his cousins Géza and Ladislaus in a conflict for throne succession.

The Roman Catholic church, constructed between 1745 and 1749, stands alongside the stone statue of St John of Nepomuk and the Baroque parish.

The municipality maintains an official website and social media presence to communicate important updates about local services, tax deadlines, and community meetings.

The name Mogyoród stems from the Hungarian word for hazelnut, while its German designation is Munjeroth.
