Thomond Park

Thomond Park is a rugby stadium in Limerick with a capacity of around 26,500 spectators and modern facilities including conference rooms and corporate suites. The grounds also feature two training pitches and various event spaces for banquets and gatherings.

The site was founded in 1934 and officially opened in 1940, initially serving smaller events. A major transformation in 2007 resulted in the modern sports facility seen today with significantly larger capacity.

The stadium is home to Munster Rugby and represents a deeply rooted rugby tradition in the Limerick region. Fans and players gather here to share and celebrate their passion for the sport.

The venue is located near Junction 3 of the N18 and is accessible by public transport from Colbert Station. Visitors should check in advance whether events are scheduled, as the stadium is busier on match days.

The stadium contains several named event areas such as the Thomond Suite and the 1978 Suite, offering visitors different perspectives and experiences. These spaces allow events to take place in different atmospheres with varying views of the playing field.
