Canyon Haifa is a shopping mall in the Neve Shanan neighborhood of Haifa, Israel, with several floors dedicated to retail and dining. Three of its floors are organized around shops and restaurants spread across a large indoor space.
The mall opened in August 1999 and was at the time the largest shopping complex in northern Israel. Its arrival changed how people in the region approached everyday shopping.
The shopping mall adapts its schedule to honor the Jewish Sabbath, closing on Saturdays until after sunset. This reflects how religious traditions shape the rhythm of commerce in the city.
The mall offers a large number of free parking spaces, making it easy to visit by car. On Saturdays, shops stay closed until after sunset, so weekdays or Sundays are the most convenient times to go.
