Thattayil Orippurathu Bhagavathy Kshetram, Hindu temple in Thattayil, Kerala, India
The temple features two divine idols of Goddess Bhagavathy in the main sanctum, accompanied by Lord Ayyapan, Mother Yakshi, and Lord Krishna statues.
Dating back to the 17th century, an inscription in Arya Language on a temple stone indicates the temple's origins from approximately a thousand years ago.
The temple celebrates Meena Bharani festival for three days during the Malayalam month of Meenam, along with traditional ceremonies of Saptaham and Navarathri.
The temple operates in two shifts daily, from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM and from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, with photography restrictions within the premises.
The architectural design combines Thanjavur and Kerala styles, with stone pillars decorated with mythological sculptures throughout the temple structure.
