Gobindgarh Fort is a restored fortress in Amritsar with four bastions, two entrance gates, and cannons positioned on its brick and lime walls. The site contains multiple exhibition spaces, galleries, and a stage dedicated to performances and cultural events.
Built in 1760 by Gujjar Singh Banghi, the fort eventually fell under Maharaja Ranjit Singh's control. It once served as a storage location and underwent restoration to become accessible to visitors in modern times.
The Spirit of Punjab stage showcases bhangra performances and regional artistic traditions that reflect local culture. Visitors can experience these dances and musical forms that remain central to celebrations in the area.
