Duga Njiva monastery

Duga Njiva monastery is a Serbian Orthodox monastery in Koprivna with a distinctive dual-worship design, combining the main church dedicated to Saint Prophet Elijah and a crypt for Saint Prince Lazar under a single roof. The complex houses these two worship spaces, dedicated to different holy figures, within one temple structure.

The current monastery structure was built in the 1990s, replacing an ancient wooden church that previously stood on these sacred grounds. This reconstruction marked the revival of worship at this traditional site after a period without active religious use.

The monastery serves as the gathering place for Zbor na Dugoj Njivi, an annual Serbian assembly held since 1919 on the Sunday of Ignatius Mary. This event reflects the enduring spiritual connection between the community and the sacred grounds.
