The Ride to Happiness, Steel roller coaster in Plopsaland De Panne, Belgium
The Ride to Happiness is a steel roller coaster at Plopsaland De Panne that stands 33 meters tall with a track extending 920 meters. It features six inversions and freely spinning trains that rotate continuously through loops and barrel rolls along the course.
The coaster opened in July 2021 after three years of development as the second Xtreme Spinning Coaster made by Mack Rides to be built worldwide. This installation represented an important step in advancing spinning coaster technology with its launch system.
The ride draws inspiration from the Belgian Tomorrowland electronic music festival, with a soundtrack that shapes the journey through the coaster. Visitors experience a blend of music and motion that reflects this connection throughout the ride.
The train accommodates 16 passengers across four cars and reaches speeds around 90 kilometers per hour during the roughly three-minute ride. Expect continuous spinning sensations as the cars rotate throughout the journey.
The coaster holds the record for the most inversions on a spinning roller coaster and uses magnetic launch technology to accelerate from the station. This combination of spinning capacity and advanced propulsion creates a rarely experienced riding dynamic.
