Tree Topper, Wooden roller coaster at Upper Clements Park, Nova Scotia
Tree Topper was a wooden roller coaster at Upper Clements Park that stretched for approximately 427 meters and reached a maximum height of around 18 meters. The track wound through twisted hills and featured a tunnel section that created a classic amusement ride experience.
The ride was constructed by Philadelphia Toboggan Company using a design by William Cobb and operated from 1989 until its closure in 2019. It served as a staple attraction at the park for three decades, welcoming many generations of visitors.
The Tree Topper represented a classic example of family entertainment in Nova Scotia, accommodating 20 riders across five cars with two rows each.
The ride had height requirements for safe boarding, with younger children needing supervision and older children able to ride independently. Visiting on quieter park days would have resulted in shorter wait times compared to peak seasonal periods.
The roller coaster reached speeds of 56.3 kilometers per hour and completed its circuit in exactly one minute and fifteen seconds.
