Suzhou IFS

Suzhou IFS is a postmodern skyscraper reaching 450 meters with 95 floors above ground, creating a distinctive curved profile against the city skyline. The tower contains offices, a hotel, and residential apartments across multiple levels, serving as a mixed-use urban landmark.

Construction began in 2014 and finished in 2019, representing a significant step in Suzhou's vertical development during its period of rapid urban growth. The completion marked an expansion of the city's skyline and modern infrastructure.

The curved form reflects the water identity that has shaped Suzhou for centuries. This connection to the city's lake culture appears in how the building relates visually to Jinji Lake and frames the landscape around it.

The building is accessible for various purposes as it houses office space, hotel facilities, and residential areas that visitors may navigate. The adjacent lake serves as a helpful landmark for orientation in the surrounding area.

Evening LED sequences on the exterior create moving light patterns that reflect across the neighboring lake's surface. This dynamic display creates a visual dialogue between the structure and the city's water landscape.
