Wun Chuen Sin Koon

Wun Chuen Sin Koon is a Taoist temple in Ta Kwu Ling featuring lotus ponds, traditional bridges, and several gardens with stone sculptures arranged across well-maintained grounds. The layout creates different areas for quiet reflection and walking through the landscaped spaces.

Taoist priests founded this temple in 1938 as a replica of their original sanctuary in Xiqiao, Guangdong, while fleeing from Japanese forces. This origin shaped it as both a refuge and religious center for the displaced community.

The temple honors Lü Chunyang, one of the Eight Immortals in Taoism, with worship services and ceremonies held regularly throughout the year. Visitors can observe how this spiritual site remains an active place of devotion for the local community.

The temple welcomes visitors daily and is accessible by public transportation through nearby bus stops, with parking available for those driving. Allow time to walk through the different gardens and explore the grounds at a leisurely pace.

Since 1986, the temple grounds have transformed into an exhibition space for chrysanthemum displays each autumn, drawing visitors seasonally. This recurring event adds a colorful, festive dimension to the site that extends its appeal beyond year-round worship.
